Christina Santhouse underwent a hemispherectomy when she was 7. It is a rare surgical procedure that involves removing one cerebral hemisphere, which consists of half of her brain. It took her years to relearn and regain her normal functions. Fast forward to the present day, she has successfully graduated with a Master's degree and has become a speech pathologist.
