Instead of Having a Wedding Dinner, These Newly-Weds Threw a Christmas Party For Orphans.

The newly married couple wanted to do something more meaningful.

Wedding dinners are usually lavish affairs. Couples want the best for their special day: the best venue, the best food, and the best decoration. It gets more expensive if a couple has a lot of friends.

A couple in Malaysia decided to do things differently. Instead of throwing a wedding dinner after getting married, Aaron Anthony and Amelda Wong threw a Christmas party for the children from two orphanages.

Using the money they saved from hosting a wedding dinner, Aaron and Amelda brought the kids to a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. They had clown to entertain the children and photobooths for them to take creative selfies. The couple also donated money to the orphanages.

Aaron said that they "wanted to do something more meaningful with the money". They also look forward to host more charity events in the future for the needy.
