In Iceland, They Bake Bread By Burying it Volcanic Sand.

Oven? Nah, just need some volcanic sand.

You don't need an oven to bake bread in Iceland. In the land of volcanoes and hot springs, you just need to bury your bread under hot volcanic sand. 


Watch how this man bakes his bread:





Volcano bread is a must-try in Iceland. It's baked under volcanic sand that can go as hot as 100°C. The bread is then left to bake for 24 hours before it's dug up and served. 


Looks really unique, isn't it?
