    All ingredients should be at room temperature for best results. (e.g. room temperature eggs whisk to higher volumes and ensures your cakes are well risen when baked)


  • Need buttermilk?

    Sometimes you will come across a recipe that requires buttermilk. Buttermilk gives a wonderful tang to recipes but this particular ingredient is not very common on our shores. Just replace buttermilk with the same amount of plain yogurt. Or, you can make your own; just add one tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to one cup of regular milk!


  • No more sticky mess

    Honey/syrup can be prevented from sticking to the measuring cup if the cup is first greased with butter or vegetable oil. Oil will pour out easily from measuring cup if you first rinse the cup in hot water


  • Buttery issues

    Butter still too hard for creaming? Cream butter and sugar easily by warming the sugar slightly.
